About Medford

Medford was platted in 1883 on Bear Creek, where the railroad agreed to build its depot, and it became the Jackson County seat after a 1927 vote.³ Today it is the main shopping, medical, and service center for the Rogue Valley, and Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport serves the region.³
